"Shape of Things to Come"

Bon.
Si quelqu'un veut BIEN dire à Ben Grimm qu'on ne fête pas les 40 ans de son papa Jack Kirby... mais les 100 ans, ça m'arrangerait.
Parce que là, je crois qu'il ne va PAS apprécier de repartir au dépôt.
(Je vous rappelle qu'il ne reste que 3 petits jours pour commander votre exemplaire du livre-hommage au King des comics sur Ulule - voir mon post du 18 février).

Would anyone tell mister Ben Grimm that 2017 is Jack Kirby's CENTENNIAL. Not his fortieth annniversary. I guess he won't appreciate he'll have to go back from where he came.

Let me remind you about the upcoming edition of the book "Kirby & Me",  an international project about Jack Kirby's centennial. It includes homages from great people, such as Frank Miller, Bill Sienkiewicz, Klaus Janson, Philippe Druillet, Jean-Pierre Dionnet, and more than 150 others. Only three days left to share and order yours !

I just finshed this commission this morning. It's a gift for a great comic-book fan, born in 1977 (best of the bests).

 

Je reprends le titre d'une chanson d'Audioslave : Shape of Things to come - (La Forme des Choses à Venir"), pour des raisons évidentes liées à la fois au titre, et à la puissance de ce morceau découvert sur la BO de l'excellent Miami Vice de Michael Mann).

The title of this post  Shape of Things to come  is also the one of a song  by Audioslave. It came to my mind for obvious reasons, plus the energy that fits so well with blue eyed Thing.

 I know i declared i wouldn't do anymore commissions these days (too much work -new Fox-Boy episodes - coming soon !) but i was asked so nicely, and i missed those big powerful pictures made on black so much, I couldn't resist.

I'm weak, Ben Grimm is STRONG !
